The Bosca Old Leather Partner’s Brief is a unique upscale briefcase with thoughtful functionality and classy exterior. A unique design is hard to come by with so many available briefcases on the market. This Bosca briefcase exudes class with beautiful luxirious leather with clean and professional looking aesthetics.
One of the biggest features that set this bag apart is the handle and the leather strap over the top of the briefcase. It is a very clean design and we love the overall sturdy feel of the briefcase. The biggest advantage of this design is the combination of the briefcase opening upwards, but with one handle. Most briefcases either have a flapover with a handle on the top, or opens upwards with handles on each side. Both of these alternatives have their advantages and disadantages. It seems like Bosca has brought us a briefcase that solves that problem, the utility of the twin handle with the efficiency of the top handle. The way the handle angles towards the body when the briefcase is opened when carried, also allows you to access the contents on the move.
This briefcase weighs in at 1 lb when empty, extremely lightweight. It fits up to a 15″ Laptop with plenty of room for other documents and laptop accessories. The usual array of pockets and pen holders traditionally found in the front gusset of regular briefcase is tucked into the back. Somewhat less accessible, but by putting it in the back it still makes for relatively easy retrieval considering the handle placement we discussed above.
Comes in three different colors, black, brown and cognac, all of which are appropriately suitable for the workplace. Despite the common problems with briefcases standing upright when empty, this briefcase is well balanced and stable. This briefcase does not come with a strap, which is not surprising for an upscale briefcase as it does not suit the image you are trying to project if you use a strap.
The only potential problem is that the soft high quality leather is more prone to scuffing than something stiffer. However, most people can agree that they prefer softer quality leather than stiff hard leather.
If you are looking to get compliments and stand out from the crowd, we couldn’t recommend a better briefcase for the job. On top of the functionality of the handle design and placement, you get to exude class and professionalism with this purchase. If you consider how often a briefcase is used and the value of image you project, you will understand that the value proposition of this briefcase makes it a value purchase despite the higher price tag.
